Footage shown here is made with BEAran Systems Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), used for research (2012-2015) on behavior and occurrence of leopard sharks (Triakis semifasciata), at one of world's most significant breeding and nursing grounds for these sharks.

It was discovered that 90-97% of the sharks are pregnant females, who use the warm, shallow water for gestation. This conclusion resulted in an expansion of the protected area.
