What you see here is BEAran UAS footage, part of a 2012-2015 research on behavior and occurrence of leopard sharks (Triakis semifasciata), at one of the world's most significant breeding and nursing grounds for leopard sharks
It was discovered that 90-97% of the sharks are pregnant females, who use the warm, shallow water for gestation. This conclusion resulted in an expansion of the protected area.
